Nascituros
"Iluminando a humanidade de nascituros em toda a sociedade."
My name is Cricket and I was diagnosed with a duplication on my 17th chromosome which means I'm a child with "special needs".
The doctors said that I would have seizures, microcephaly, small stature, developmental delays, and problems with my heart, kidneys, and endocrine system. They even said that I would "probably never walk or talk".
When society denies legal protection for "special needs" children while we are in utero: Doesn't that devalue all of my kind? And discriminate against the entire "special needs" population?
