Which Political Party Establishment Is Most Responsible For Passing & Upholding The Landmark Abo

Most people understand that the United States Supreme Court has been consistently pro-choice since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973. However, the political party most responsible for the pro-choice majority appointed to SCOTUS (and maintained) has been effectively concealed for the last 50 years. The suppression of this critical information (by establishment elites and pro-life leaders) has reduced the effectiveness of the pro-life movement tremendously and continues to do so. Let’s take a look at the actual record of SCOTUS appointments over the past 50 years to see which political party is mostly to blame for “abortion on demand” in America.

Since 1969, there have been 18 appointments to SCOTUS. Republican presidents have made 14 of those appointments, with Democrats making only four. That means over 75% of SCOTUS appointments (three out of every four) have been made by Republican presidents over the last 49 years. I was absolutely stunned upon discovering this fact. I always knew that Republican presidents had failed to appoint pro-life judges on several occasions, but I never realized how pro-choice their records actually were.

What I found most disturbing is that between 1969 and 1991, there were a total of 10 appointments to SCOTUS, and every single one of them was made by a Republican president. That's right, an astonishing 100% of SCOTUS appointments over that 22-year period were made by Republicans. Of these 10 appointments, seven were pro-choice and only three were pro-life. Does that sound like a consistent pro-life record?

Here is another way to break down just how pro-choice the Republican Party's record is with SCOTUS appointments. If Republican presidents had simply remained neutral by appointing an identical number of pro-choice and pro-life judges to SCOTUS (5 pro-choice and 5 pro-life) between 1969 and 1991, Roe v. Wade would have been overturned back in 1992. Republican presidents made so many consecutive appointments, all they had to do was break even to overturn Roe v. Wade. It's hard to believe that they mistakenly appointed all of these pro-choice judges. A more realistic conclusion is that all of these pro-choice appointments were intentional.

Let me break this down yet another way for additional clarity. Democratic presidents went almost 26 years (1967-1993) without making a single appointment to the Supreme Court. That's over a quarter century with no appointments to SCOTUS for Democratic presidents. However, during that entire period of time (and continuing up until today), the Supreme Court has always maintained pro-choice majority. Again, it's hard to believe that Republican presidents unknowingly appointed so many pro-choice judges.

When Ronald Reagan, H.W. Bush, and G.W Bush all made the statement that "overturning Roe v. Wade will not be a litmus test for Supreme Court appointments" during their election campaigns, they definitely followed through! When they said "we aren't ready to overturn Roe v. Wade" (and they all said this numerous times), they definitely meant it!

Is it possible we have two pro-choice parties? One that is openly pro-choice (Democratic) and one that covers up its pro-choice record through deception (Republican)?

"The truth is incontrovertible. Panic may resent it, ignorance may be deride it, malice may distort it, but in the end; there it is." ~Winston Churchill

In my next blog post will detail how Republican appointed Supreme Court justices voted in the two landmark abortion decisions of our nation: Roe v. Wade (1973) and Doe v. Bolton (1973), along with the major ruling to uphold them: Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992).
